Jooosi Mail can send a notification when an email reaches a terminal failed state. A message that is still waiting for a retry does not trigger an alert. Configure a channel in Jooosi Mail → Settings → Alerts.
Connect a channel#
- Choose Telegram, Discord, or Slack and enable the channel.
- Enter the channel’s required credential and destination.
- Choose Save settings.
- Check that the channel shows as configured. Review the destination before sending a test.
- Telegram: Create a bot with @BotFather, then enter its bot token and destination. A direct message requires the user to send the bot
/startfirst and uses a numeric chat ID. Private groups use a numeric chat ID; public groups or channels can use@username. The bot must be an admin in a channel. A personal account’s username is not a valid destination. - Discord: Create a webhook in the destination channel’s settings, then enter its webhook URL.
- Slack: Create and install a Slack app with the
chat:writebot scope, invite its bot to the channel, then enter the bot user OAuth token (starts withxoxb-) and channel ID.
Send a test alert#
Choose Send test alert to check the saved credentials and destination. This sends an actual test notification to the configured channel, so verify where it will go first. Leave a secret field blank to keep its saved value. Choose Disconnect to disable a channel and remove its saved credential and destination.
What an alert contains#
An alert includes the site name, email subject, delivery error, and a link to the email log. It does not include the message body or recipient list. Each WordPress site sends alerts directly to the channel provider’s API; Jooosi Mail does not operate a notification relay. Credentials are encrypted before they are saved.
