What is Mailjet?#

Mailjet is an email platform for sending transactional and marketing messages through API or SMTP. Read more on the official website and in the official documentation.

Profile#

The Mailjet profile supports API and SMTP delivery. API is the default; SMTP uses the account key pair in separate SMTP fields.

  • Transport scheme: mailjet+api (default) or mailjet+smtp.
  • API: Mailjet API access key and API secret key are required.
  • SMTP: Mailjet SMTP username (API key) and SMTP password (secret key) are required.
  • Optional sandbox: API sandbox mode is available for mailjet+api only and defaults to false.

Create the connection#

Before you begin, create an account and prepare the credentials for the selected transport. Complete any sender or domain verification required by the provider.

  1. In WordPress admin, open Jooosi Mail → Connections and choose New connection.
  2. Enter a descriptive Connection name and select Mailjet in Profile.
  3. Choose the transport scheme and enter the matching required settings listed in the Profile section.
  4. Review the sender, routing, and advanced settings for this connection.
  5. Choose Create connection to save it.

For the shared connection workflow, see Provider profiles and transports.

Verify delivery#

Follow Send a test email and send it to a mailbox you can check. A test sends a real email. Check the mailbox and Jooosi Mail → Logs for the attempt status. See Email logs and resending for details.

Webhooks#

Mailjet webhooks are supported. Enable Webhooks under Advanced settings, save the connection, then configure the displayed endpoint with Mailjet. The adapter accepts webhook requests without signature verification; review the shared Provider webhooks guide before using incoming events.

Troubleshooting#

  • Check that the access key and secret key come from the same Mailjet account and that you filled the fields for the selected API or SMTP scheme.
  • If a test appears to send without normal delivery, check whether API sandbox mode is enabled and review the Jooosi Mail log.
