What is Mailomat?#

Mailomat provides an email delivery service with API and SMTP options supported by the Jooosi Mail profile. Read more on the official website and in the official documentation.

Profile#

The Mailomat profile supports API and SMTP delivery. API is the default scheme.

  • API: mailomat+api requires a Mailomat API key (secret).
  • SMTP: mailomat+smtp requires a Mailomat SMTP username and SMTP password (secret).
  • Webhook secret: webhooks are configured separately from send credentials and require a shared secret in the connection.

Create the connection#

Before you begin, complete any sender or domain verification required by Mailomat and copy credentials from the provider console. Keep secret values private.

  1. In WordPress admin, open Jooosi Mail → Connections and choose New connection.
  2. Enter a descriptive Connection name and select Mailomat in Profile.
  3. Choose the transport scheme and enter the matching required settings listed in the Profile section.
  4. Review the sender, routing, and advanced settings for this connection.
  5. Choose Create connection to save it.

For the shared connection workflow, see Provider profiles and transports.

Verify delivery#

Follow Send a test email and send it to a mailbox you can check. A test sends a real email. Check the mailbox and Jooosi Mail → Logs for the attempt status. See Email logs and resending for details.

Webhooks#

The Mailomat adapter accepts accepted, not accepted, delivered, temporary/permanent failure, open, and click events. Enabling webhooks requires a shared secret in the connection. Jooosi Mail verifies the request HMAC using the Mailomat event, webhook ID, timestamp, and signature headers. Configure the endpoint using the Provider webhooks guide; copy the matching secret from Mailomat without sharing its value.

Troubleshooting#

  • For missing-field validation, confirm the scheme and fill all required settings listed in Profile.
  • After a failed test, re-copy the matching credential and inspect the connection status and email log.
  • If the connection cannot be saved with webhooks enabled, check that the webhook secret is present. If an event is rejected, confirm Mailomat signs it with the same secret and that signed headers reach WordPress unchanged.
