What is Null?#
The Null profile is a test transport that discards messages instead of delivering them to a mailbox. Read more on the official website and in the official documentation.
Profile#
Use Null to exercise mail handling inside Jooosi Mail without delivering email. The built-in transport accepts messages for processing and discards them.
- Transport scheme: null.
- Required profile settings: none.
- Raw DSN override: leave empty to use the built-in discard transport.
Create the connection#
Use this profile only for testing mail submission. Do not use it for live notifications or messages that must reach recipients.
- In WordPress admin, open Jooosi Mail → Connections and choose New connection.
- Enter a descriptive Connection name and select Null in Profile.
- Select Null in Profile. Leave Raw DSN override empty to keep the discard behavior; a custom override changes the transport selected for the connection.
- Review the sender, routing, and advanced settings for this connection.
- Choose Create connection to save it.
For the shared connection workflow, see Provider profiles and transports.
Verify delivery#
Use Send a test email only to check that the application can submit through this connection. The message will not arrive in a mailbox because Null discards it. Review the attempt in Jooosi Mail → Logs.
Webhooks#
The Null profile does not declare provider webhook support. It discards messages and has no provider delivery events to receive.
Troubleshooting#
- If you expected an email in a mailbox, select a delivery profile such as SMTP instead; Null is designed to discard messages.
- If the connection appears to use another transport, inspect Raw DSN override and leave it empty to restore the profile’s built-in behavior.
