What is Resend?#

Resend provides an email API and SMTP service for applications sending transactional email. Read more on the official website and in the official documentation.

Profile#

The Jooosi Mail Resend profile supports these transports and settings:

  • Transport schemes: resend+api (default) and resend+smtp.
  • API: enter the required Resend API key in api_key.
  • SMTP: enter the required Resend SMTP API key in smtp_api_key. Jooosi Mail supplies the SMTP username internally.
  • The API and SMTP keys are separate secrets. There are no additional profile options.

Select a transport scheme and fill in the fields shown for that scheme. Secret fields should be copied from your provider account and kept private.

Create the connection#

  1. In WordPress admin, open Jooosi Mail → Connections and choose New connection.
  2. Enter a descriptive Connection name and select Resend in Profile.
  3. Choose the transport scheme and enter the matching required credentials listed in the Profile section.
  4. Review the sender, routing, and advanced settings for this connection.
  5. Choose Create connection to save it.

For the shared connection workflow, see Provider profiles and transports.

Verify delivery#

Follow Send a test email and send it to a mailbox you can check. A test sends a real email. Check the mailbox and Jooosi Mail → Logs for the attempt status. See Email logs and resending for details.

Webhooks#

Resend webhooks cover sent, delivered, delayed, complained, bounced, opened, and clicked events. Enable Webhooks in the connection’s Advanced settings, save, and configure Resend with the displayed callback URL. Add the Resend webhook signing secret in the connection’s Webhook secret field; Jooosi Mail verifies the Svix signature. This secret is separate from the sending API key. See Provider webhooks.

Troubleshooting#

Match the selected scheme to its credential: api_key for API or smtp_api_key for SMTP.For webhook verification errors, confirm the separate signing secret and that the Svix signature headers reach WordPress. For more detail on a failed attempt, review Jooosi Mail email logs.
