What is MailerSend?#

MailerSend is an email delivery platform for transactional messages, with API and SMTP delivery options. Read more on the official website and in the official documentation.

Profile#

The Jooosi Mail MailerSend profile supports these transports and settings:

  • Transport scheme: mailersend+api (default) or mailersend+smtp.
  • API transport: enter the MailerSend API key. This field is required for mailersend+api.
  • SMTP transport: enter the MailerSend SMTP username and SMTP password. Both fields are required for mailersend+smtp.
  • Additional options: this profile has no other provider-specific configuration fields.

Password and key fields are stored as secrets. Select a transport scheme and fill only the fields shown for that scheme.

Create the connection#

  1. In WordPress admin, open Jooosi Mail → Connections and choose New connection.
  2. Enter a descriptive Connection name and select MailerSend in Profile.
  3. Choose mailersend+api or mailersend+smtp, then enter the matching required credentials listed in the Profile section.
  4. Review the sender, routing, and advanced settings for this connection.
  5. Choose Create connection to save it.

For the shared connection workflow, see Provider profiles and transports.

Verify delivery#

Follow Send a test email and send it to a mailbox you can check. A test sends a real email. Check the mailbox and Jooosi Mail → Logs for the attempt status. See Email logs and resending for details.

Webhooks#

MailerSend webhooks can report sent, delivered, soft bounce, hard bounce, click, unsubscribe, open, and spam complaint activity. Enable Webhooks under the connection Advanced settings, save the connection, then configure the displayed endpoint in MailerSend. The profile also recognizes unique click and open activities.

If you enter a shared Webhook secret in the connection, the adapter checks the request signature against it. Without a secret, unsigned requests are accepted. Follow the Provider webhooks guide for the shared endpoint and event setup.

Troubleshooting#

  • Confirm the credential matches the selected transport scheme: an API key for mailersend+api, or the SMTP username and password for mailersend+smtp.
  • If signed webhook deliveries fail, make sure the shared secret matches on both sides and review the webhook event log.
  • For delivery attempts, inspect Jooosi Mail email logs.
