Routing chooses an enabled, healthy connection for each message. Set the global strategy in Jooosi Mail → Settings, then tune priority, weight, and default status on individual connections.
Choose a strategy#
- Single uses one selected connection.
- Weighted random is the default and spreads messages according to each connection’s weight.
- Round robin uses smooth weighted rotation and stores its selection state.
- Failover prefers the higher-priority eligible connection and can move to another eligible connection when delivery fails.
Set connection preferences#
Use a higher priority value for connections you want considered first. Weight controls the share of traffic under weighted strategies. Mark one connection as the default when it should be the normal choice. Health checks keep disabled or open-circuit connections out of selection.
Prefer a connection for one message#
Integrations can set preferred_connection_id in MailRequest metadata or provide the X-Jooosi-Mail-Connection-Id header. This is a preference; routing can still choose another eligible connection if the preferred one cannot send.
Queued messages use the current delivery settings when a worker sends them. For worker and retry operations, see Queue operations and retries.
