Jooosi Mail can deliver immediately or queue messages for background processing. In asynchronous mode, queue workers claim due jobs, apply retries, and record each attempt in the delivery logs.
Check queue health#
wp jooosi-mail queue:status
The status report separates ready, deferred, processing, stale, and failed messages. Use it to tell whether work is waiting for its scheduled retry or has stopped after exhausting retries.
Run a worker#
wp jooosi-mail queue:work --limit=25 --time-limit=20
Action Scheduler can run background work automatically. You can also invoke the worker from WP-CLI during troubleshooting or controlled maintenance.
Review and recover work#
- List active claims with
wp jooosi-mail queue:processing --limit=20. - Inspect exhausted jobs with
wp jooosi-mail queue:failed --limit=20. - Retry eligible failed messages with
wp jooosi-mail queue:retry, or one message withwp jooosi-mail queue:retry --id=42. - Release stale claims with
wp jooosi-mail queue:release-stale --older-than=300.
Workers automatically release claims older than five minutes. Retry delay uses the configured initial delay, multiplier, and maximum. Check Email Logs after retrying to confirm the final delivery outcome.
For configuration, see Delivery and Routing and Logs and Events.
