JM Jooosi Mail

Null

Before you begin#

Use this profile when you need to exercise the mail submission path without delivering email. Do not use it for live notifications or messages that must reach recipients.

Supported transport and settings#

The Null profile is for testing mail handling inside Jooosi Mail. With its built-in transport, it accepts messages for processing and then discards them. It does not attempt delivery to a recipient.

  • Transport scheme: null.
  • Required profile settings: none.
  • Raw DSN override: leave empty to use the built-in discard transport.

For transport background, see Symfony Mailer documentation.

Create the connection#

  1. In WordPress admin, open Jooosi Mail → Connections and choose New connection.
  2. Enter a Connection name.
  3. Select Null in Profile. The profile has no provider-specific configuration fields.
  4. Leave Raw DSN override empty to keep the discard behavior. A custom override changes the transport selected for this connection.
  5. Review the sender and other connection settings relevant to your setup, then choose Create connection.

See the shared Connect a provider guide for the connection workflow.

Verify delivery#

Use Send a test email only to check that the application can submit through this connection. The message will not arrive in a mailbox because the Null transport discards it. Review the attempt in Jooosi Mail → Logs.

Webhooks#

The Null profile does not declare provider webhook support. It discards messages and has no provider delivery events to receive.

Troubleshooting#

  • If you expected an email in a mailbox, select a delivery profile such as SMTP instead; Null is designed to discard messages.
  • If the connection appears to use another transport, inspect Raw DSN override and leave it empty to restore the profile’s built-in behavior.
