JM Jooosi Mail

Native PHP

Before you begin#

Before you begin, confirm that PHP native mail is configured on the host running WordPress. Review the host’s mail setup requirements; this profile does not ask for a separate username, password, or API key.

Supported transport and settings#

The Native PHP profile sends through PHP’s native mail configuration. Jooosi Mail does not expose provider-specific fields for this profile. Delivery therefore depends on the PHP and mail setup available on the WordPress host.

  • Transport scheme: native.
  • Required profile settings: none.
  • Raw DSN override: leave empty to use the profile’s built-in native transport.

For transport background, see Symfony Mailer documentation.

Create the connection#

  1. In WordPress admin, open Jooosi Mail → Connections and choose New connection.
  2. Enter a Connection name.
  3. Select Native PHP in Profile. The profile has no provider-specific configuration fields.
  4. Leave Raw DSN override empty unless you intentionally use a custom transport DSN.
  5. Review the sender and other connection settings relevant to your setup, then choose Create connection.

See the shared Connect a provider guide for the connection workflow.

Verify delivery#

Use Send a test email and send a real message to a mailbox you can check. Confirm the result in Jooosi Mail → Logs and check whether it arrives. A successful handoff to the native mail transport does not by itself confirm inbox delivery.

Webhooks#

The Native PHP profile does not declare provider webhook support. Review attempts in Jooosi Mail email logs.

Troubleshooting#

  • If the log shows a transport handoff but the message does not arrive, check the WordPress host’s PHP native mail configuration and its mail service logs.
  • If the connection does not use the native transport, check whether Raw DSN override contains a value.
